Day Seventeen: Accident is the sixth song on the second disc of The Human Equation, and the seventeenth song of the entire album. Its length is 5:42. It is preceded by Day Sixteen: Loser, and followed by Day Eighteen: Realization.

Plot

After being emotionally devastated by the realisation of his betrayal, it is revealed to Me that he saw his Wife smiling at another man and being held by him. This is apparently the final straw that caused him to end up in his coma. The Wife pleads to Me that they were just looking for mutual warmth, and there was nothing going on, but Agony persuades Me that Love has left him.
